Eruption! Live from Iceland with Kate Gallagher and Robert Askew

The Geldingadalur fissure eruption began in the evening of Friday 19 March, after three weeks of earthquake activity on the Rekyjanes peninsula in south-west Iceland. Kate Gallagher and Rob Askew, have been there from the start, they have made several visits to the volcano and have been involved in sampling and analysis. Join us for an informal session, where Kate and Rob will share images, video, analysis and stories of the scientific and human response to this eruption.

Robert Askew currently works as a geologist at the Icelandic Institute of Natural History, and Kate Gallagher is finishing a PhD at the University of Iceland. They are both graduates of the University of Edinburgh.
