Invertebrates of Fife, with Dr Katie Strang

Event Date:
4th February 2021
Event Time:
7:00 pm
The Carboniferous limestones, which underlay parts of Fife, provide an insight into the ancient marine life of Scotland’s tropical oceans over 330 million years ago. This talk will look at our most fossiliferous limestones; some of which are composed completely of dead sea organisms like crinoids and corals. To learn more about what these different animals tell us about the environments of the time, and how to look out for these rocks and fossils, join us for an introduction to some Fife invertebrates!
