The Carboniferous limestones, which underlay parts of Fife, provide an insight into the ancient marine life of Scotland’s tropical oceans over 330 million years ago. This talk will look at our most fossiliferous limestones; some of which are composed completely of dead sea organisms like crinoids and corals.
