What to bring
Footwear with a good tread, warm and waterproof clothing and a drink. On longer walks, you’ll need to bring some food.
What’s involved
We walk at a moderate pace with frequent stops. All walks are suitable for anyone who is reasonably fit and used to walking; however often we leave the beaten track and the surface may be rough or slippery. Walking boots are recommended. Please get in touch if you would like to find out about the suitability of a particular walk. The walks are graded to give you a guide as to what’s involved (note that the grades are not directly related to the length of the walk, which is given in the walk description).
Walks grading
Easy: Short walk on good paths or sandy beaches; there may be steps and some climbing.
Moderate: Not always on paths, may be rough or slippery underfoot at times.
Adventurous: Walking along rocky beaches, clambering over rocks, steep climbs.
Dogs
Well-behaved dogs are sometimes welcome on walks, but please check in advance for each walk. On some walks where we pass through fields with animals, for example, it just isn’t suitable. Other times it is absolutely fine.
On the other hand, if you have an aversion to dogs and would rather not take part in a walk with a dog present, please let me know when you book.
